Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.


Author Guidelines

Socrates Journal is Open for paper submission.We accept paper submission from 22 Disciplines and 3 languages (English- Hindi- Persian). It is recommended for Authors to read our Editorial Policies before making a submission. In case you do not like to use the online submission system; which allows you to track the progress and the status of your paper online, you can submit your paper through the "Quick Submit" paper submission portal on the footer of this website.

  • There is no article submission fee.
  • There is no article review fee.
  • There is no article publication fee.
  • Published Authors would be provided with one copy of their published full issue without any fee; (Print copy if author is from India, E-Copy, if the author is from overseas).

Authors, please ensure:

  • Paper is in .DOC format
  • Paper is in APA Format 
  • The paper must contain Abstract and Keywords.
  • The author should ensure that the Research Paper/Article sent for publication is not published/presented anywhere else. If it happens so, the author will be entirely responsible for any legal action. There would be no responsibility of the journal, editor and referees.
  • This is a peer-reviewed journal submitted paper/article may be sent for revision and re-submission.
  • The articles submitted for publication in the journal should contain data not older than 2 years from the date of receipt of the article.
  • The articles submitted for publication should be exclusive for this journal and must not be submitted elsewhere for their consideration by the journal. These must not carry any material already published in the same or different forms.
  • The article should present a complete picture of the investigation made and should not be split into parts. In the articles, proper continuity should be maintained in the presentation of information. 
  • Each article should be written correctly, clearly, objectively and concisely. All the statements made in the manuscript should be clear, unambiguous, and to the point.
  • There is no prescribed limit regarding the number of pages in case of a full-length article. However, the length of the article should not be less than 2 full printed pages of the journal.
  • Articles should be suitably divided into two sections: Abstract and Full-Text Full Text should contain References.
  • The title of article should be informative. It should indicate the content of the article essential for keyword & indexing.

How to Submit a paper?

Authors can register and submit items to the journal directly through the journal's website. The Author is asked to upload the item, as well as provide metadata or indexing information associated with the item, to improve the search capacity for research online and for this journal. The Author is also able to accompany an item with Supplementary Files in the form of data sets, research instruments, or source texts that will enrich the item, as well as contribute to more open and robust forms of research and scholarship. The Author is able to track the submission through the editorial process - as well as participate in the copy-editing and proofreading of submissions accepted for publication - by logging in, and using the username and password provided. 

Getting Started

  1. Log into your Socrates account.
  2. Visit the section User Home

Submitting Articles

Step 1: Start the submission process by selecting the “New Submission” link of the page.

1. Select which section you feel is most appropriate for your article from the drop-down menu.
2. Confirm each item in the Submission Checklist is correct and check each box.
3. Optionally, you may add any comments you wish to send to the editor.
4. Select “Save and continue”.

Step 2: Upload the submission.

1. Click Browse to open a Choose File window for locating the file on the hard drive of your computer.
2. Locate the file you wish to submit and highlight it.
3. Click Open on the Choose File window, which places the name of the file on this page.
4. Click Upload on this page, which uploads the file from the computer to the journal's website and renames it following the journal's conventions.

5. Once the submission is uploaded, click “Save and continue”.

Step 3: Enter the submission’s Metadata.

1. Complete the author details. All fields marked with an asterisk are required. If there are multiple authors, use the “Add Author” button to bring up additional fields.
2. Add the title and abstract.
3. Complete the indexing.
4. Enter the names of any supporting agencies
5. Select “Save and continue”.

Step 4: Upload supplementary files.

1. This step is optional. If you have any supplementary files, such as research instruments, data sets, etc., you may add them here. These files are also indexed by the author, identifying their relation to the submission, as well as their ownership. Supplementary Files can be uploaded in any file format and will be made available to readers in their original format.
2. Locate the file you wish to submit and highlight it.
3. Click Open on the Choose File window, which places the name of the file on this page.
4. Click Upload on this page, which uploads the file from the computer to the journal's website and renames it following the journal's conventions.
5. Once the submission is uploaded, click “Save and continue”.

Step 5: Confirming the submission.

With the previous four steps of the submission process completed. You will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view your submission's progress through the editorial process by logging into the Socrates journal website.

Each time you log in, you will be presented with a list of all of your outstanding submissions, including their status.



Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in document file (.DOC/.DOCX)format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed at the appropriate points.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. Authors are not allowed to submit Manuscript submitted for consideration of publication in the SOCRATES to any other Journal from the date of submission to the date of the Editorial decision.

    The author(s) agrees to Self-Archiving policy of the Journal. Socrates journal does not allow authors to post items submitted to the journal on personal Not for Profit websites or institutional repositories or on any other website prior to publication and after publication. They can only share web links of their published article after publication.

  7. Authors selected for publication in Socrates will have to provide the Journal with the permission to publish the article by filling the publishing agreement.We will not include any paper in any issue without written permission and consent of the author(s).
  8. SOCRATES Require submitting Authors to file a Competing Interest (CI) statement with their submission. Please fill this form for Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest. At the time of manuscript acceptance, SOCRATES journal will ask authors to confirm and, if necessary, update their disclosure statements. Based on the disclosures made through the form, the form will automatically generate a disclosure statement, which you will receive via e-mail. Please save your statement.

  9. I have read and understood all the Editorial Policies of the Journal and agree to abide by them.
