The APC fee is non-refundable once a manuscript has been accepted. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with the review process. No cancellation or refund is possible for APCs once the manuscript has been accepted.

2. Circumstances for APC Refunds

Refund requests for APCs will be considered under the following specific circumstances:

• Double Payment: If an author has mistakenly made a duplicate payment for APCs, a refund will be processed for the additional payment.
• Technical or Payment Errors: If a payment has been made unintentionally due to a technical error or payment processing issue, we will investigate and, if verified, issue a prompt refund.

3. Refund Request Procedure

• Include payment confirmation details, the reason for the refund, and any supporting documentation needed to process your request.

4. Refund Processing

• Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.
• Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, but we will make every effort to expedite the refund.

5. Non-Refundable Fast Track Review Fees

The Fast Track Review fee is non-refundable under all the circumstances. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with the fast track review process. No cancellation or refund is possible for Fast Track Review Fee is paid by the authors or responsible party.

SOCRATES reserves the right to update or amend this refund policy as necessary. Any changes will be communicated on our website.
