Author Guidelines

Author, please note the following guidelines for submission:

  1. Papers must be submitted in Word format (.DOC or . DOCX).
  2. Data sets or other supplementary files may be submitted in any other format.
  3. References must adhere to the APA (American Psychological Association, 6th ed.) style and should be meticulously reviewed for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  4. All submitted papers will undergo double-blinded review. Therefore, authors are requested to remove all personal information and identifiers from the manuscript. Ensure that authors' names are not included in the document/file properties.
  5. This is a peer-reviewed journal, and submitted papers/articles may be subject to revision and resubmission.
  6. Submitted papers must not have been previously published or presented for publication elsewhere. Any legal ramifications resulting from duplication will be the sole responsibility of the author, with no liability attributed to the journal, editor, or referees.
  7. Articles submitted for publication should include data no older than 5 years from the date of article receipt.
  8. Each article should constitute a complete investigation and should not be divided into parts. Maintain proper continuity in presenting information, ensuring clarity, objectivity, and conciseness in all statements.
  9. While there is no prescribed word or page limit for full-length articles, each article should occupy a minimum of 2 full printed pages of the journal.
  10. There are no word limits for either the Full Text or the Abstract sections.
  11. All articles must be written in either British English or American English, using the respective spelling and terminology. The text and English language in new and revised articles must be checked, edited, and corrected by the authors, preferably with the help of a native English speaker.
  12. Submissions may be formatted in single or double spacing, preferably in Times New Roman size 12 font. All accepted articles will be correctly formatted for publication.
  13. The text of the article should include the following:
    1. Title
    2. Abstract
    3. Keywords
    4. Full Text
    5. References and Endnotes
    6. Tables, Figure Captions, and Figures

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • The author (s) are members of the Socrates Scholars International Research Network (SSIRN).
  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labelled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
  • The corresponding author has disclosed any competing interests by completing the Disclosure Form.
  • The corresponding author has provided a Cover Letter addressed to the Editor.

In this section, we extend a warm invitation to scholarly submissions centred on public policy and administration. We encourage articles delving into groundbreaking policy endeavours, administrative hurdles, governance structures, and their impact on societal progress. We aim to showcase thorough research and theoretical perspectives that enhance the practice of policymaking and administration.

Philosophy

SOCRATES journal's Philosophy section embraces diverse submissions from all philosophical branches. We welcome original research, theoretical contributions, book reviews, and critical essays fostering interdisciplinary dialogue. Emphasizing rigorous scholarship and relevance, submissions undergo peer-review to ensure excellence, aiming to enrich philosophical discourse and human understanding.

Authors will retain the copyrights of their published articles. In the case of republication, they will have to obtain written permission from the journal. Additional licensing agreements (Creative Commons licenses) grant rights to readers to Share, copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, and Adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material. The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as the authors follow the license terms.
